Rhode Island. Marksman Badge (Lieut S.F. Brayton)

Rhode Island. Marksman Badge, engraved “1910” on the reverse of the top bar and “Lieut S.F. Brayton” on the pendant.

Lieutenant (later Colonel) Stephen F. Brayton joined the Warren Artillery in June 1907.  In 1910, he was commissioned and rose through the ranks to command the unit as a colonel. He retired in May 1922 and died in 1930.
