Plus, an 80th Infantry Division patch and a set of ribbon bars for the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, American Campaign, Europe-Africa-Middle East Campaign (3 stars) and World War II Victory Medals (plus a single Army Good Conduct Medal ribbon).
Corporal Jenkins was born in Baltimore in 1922, died in 2003 and is buried in Grantsville, Maryland. Prior to enlisting, he was a telephone lineman, so he may have served in a Signal Corps unit (80th Signal Company).
