New York. Huntington Township World War II Service Medal, engraved to “Stanley M. Anderson” on the reverse. Light age.

1Lt Stanley Morton Anderson, Company E, 11th Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division, died 15 March 1945. He is buried in the Luxembourg American Cemetery. Born in 1889, he enlisted from Woodhaven, Queens. Huntington Township, Long Island, had a population of 47,506 in 1940 and the medal inscription notes that 127 men died during the war.
