New Jersey. Civil War Service Medal, numbered “648″ and engraved on the reverse “I.V.B. DeBaun”. Confirmed on the roll to Private Isaac V.B. DeBaun, 22nd New Jersey Volunteer Infantry. The pin-back on the top bar has been replaced with a straight bar for a ribbon. $200

The 22nd New Jersey Infantry served in the defenses of Washington before joining the Army of the Potomac. It was involved at Chancellorsville, but suffered no casualties.
