Group of three society badges to Charity Fisher Higgins: Daughters of the American Revolution membership badge, with top bar “Escholtzia Chapter” and ancestor bar “Joseph Treman Sippy”, named “Charity Fisher Higgins/209759″ and marked by J.E. Caldwell; National Society of Daughters of the American Colonists membership badge, with “California” top bar and “John Johnson” ancestor bar, engraved “Charity Fisher Higgins/3616″; National Society Daughters of the Union, 1861-1865, membership badge, with top bar “John Fisher”, engraved “Charity/Fisher Higgins/1056″; marked by J.E. Caldwell Company. The ribbons show age and wear.  Housed in a leatherette case, with a velvet lining (loose).

The DAR’s Escholtzia Chapter was its oldest chapter in Southern California.
