Burma. Good Recruiting Work Medal, 1917. Silver hand-made silver medal (39mm), with a crude, hand-engraved portrait of King George V on the obverse; the reverse is engraved “Awarded/To/Mg Po Mya/Inkunwun, Pantanaw/and Danubyu/For Good Recruiting Work/1917″.
Looped for suspension, but no ribbon. Light surface and edge wear.

In 1915, one Mg Po Mya was serving as Senior Assistant Surgeon of Police in the Lower Chindwin area of Burma.
