“Aviation Awards of Imperial Germany: Prussia”
“Aviation Awards of Imperial Germany and the Men Who Earned Them, Volume II – The Aviation Awards of the Kingdom of Prussia”, by Neal W. O’Connor, Princeton, NJ, 1990. Softbound, 285pp, illustrated. Inscribed by the author to Eric Ludvigsen, a noted Imperial German awards expert. After Ludvigsen’s death, this copy went to Rick Lundstrom, another exceptionally skilled researcher of German awards.
O’Connor’s series on the aviation awards of Imperial German is the finest source in English on the subject. While focusing on awards to aviators, he covers the process of how awards were given, providing insight from years of study of German regulations and statutes. Volumes I (Bavaria) and II (Prussia) are very difficult to find.
