Army Good Conduct Medal, slot brooch, machine-engraved “Belle G. Naimer”.
With a photocopy of a news clipping relating Naimer’s death in an Army transport plane crash in New Guinea in May 1945. Her body was not recovered for many years, so she is listed on the Tablets of the Missing at the Manila American Cemetery. She and others from the crash site were reinterred at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. Sergeant Naimer, who had served as assistant post sergeant major at Kelly Field, Texas, before going overseas, was originally from New York.
