Air Medal, wrap brooch, unnamed. In a short titled case with a lapel pin and wide ribbon bar. Plus, a Presidential Unit Citation ribbon and a miniature Navy Combat Aircrew Wing, with 3 stars, pin-back. All in its original out mailing box addressed to Commanding Officer, Headquarters Squadron, Fleet Air Wing Eight for ART1c Harvey Lee Stallings, USNR (postmarked 5 September 1945).
Stallings was born in 1925 in McCormick, South Carolina, and died 16 June 2008 in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. During World War II, he flew with VPB-117, the “Blue Raiders”. He later joined the Air Force and Air National Guard, retiring as a communications officer with the rank of major.
