1914 Star and bar (Pte Mitchell, E. Lancashire Regiment)

1914 Star and copy bar (9391 Pte E.I. Mitchell, 2/E. Lan:R.). Mitchell’s star and clasp are confirmed on the roll. He also received a Silver War Badge.

The 2nd Battalion, East Lancashire Regiment, was in South Africa at the outbreak of the war, but moved to the Western Front, where it remained for the duration.
