Mexico. Central Committee for Civil Defense of the Federal District Medal for Enthusiastic Patriotism. 1943. Gilt and enamel.

Mexico declared war on the Axis Powers in May 1942 and provided anti-submarine warfare support in the Gulf of Mexico and well as sending a squadron of P-47 fighters (“Aztec Eagles”) to the Philippines. An active civil defense program supported the overall war effort.
