Pte John Holt is confirmed on the roll for the medal and clasp. The roll notes that Holt was transferred to the Army Reserve. The battle at Ali Musjid was the last battle honor of the 81st Foot, which was amalgamated into the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment in 1881.
