SSgt Leonard Wayne Fick was a radio operator/gunner in the 757th Bomb Squadron, 459th Bomb Group, and was killed on a mission against oil refineries at Ploesti, Romania, on 28 July 1944. He is buried in a mass grave in the Fort Scott National Cemetery, Nebraska (Fick was from Murphysboro, Illinois). With copied IPDF. Fick was promoted to Technical Sergeant posthumously.
