Airman’s Medal (L.E. Strichik)

Airman’s Medal, crimp brooch, machine-engraved “L.L. Strichik”.  With a mounted set of ribbon bars (Airman’s Medal; AF Commendation; AF Outstanding Unit Award, with 3 oak leaf clusters; AF Good Conduct, 1 olc; Army Good Conduct Medal, with 2-hitch device; National Defense Service; Vietnam Service, with 2 stars; AF Longevity Service Ribbon, with 2 olc; AF Small Arms Expert Marksman Ribbon and Vietnam Campaign Medal). The ribbons show age and wear.

Leonard L. Strichik was a medical technician. An article in the Honolulu Advertiser on 10 April 1968 noted the award of the Airman’s Medal to Strichik, of the 10th Aeromedical Squadron.
