Group of nine to LT Frank John Lucas, US Navy: Navy Good Conduct Medal, wrap brooch, hand-engraved “Frank/John/Lucas/1933″, with pin-back bars “1938 [Frank/John/Lucas]” and “1941 [Frank/John/Lucas]; China Service Medal, US Navy, crimp brooch; American Defense Service Medal, crimp brooch; American Campaign Medal; Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal; Europe-Africa-Middle East Campaign Medal; World War II Victory Medal; Navy Occupation Service Medal, clasp “Asia”; Soochow Creek Medal 1937, engraved “F.J. New York National Guard records show a Frank J. Lucas serving in the 165th Infantry in 1927, but transferring to the US Navy in 1929. In 1944, Lucas was appointed a chief pay clerk. In 1951, he was a lieutenant in the Navy Supply Corps (permanent rank of CWO-3).
