Army Commendation Ribbon document set to Major Rialto Philleo: Army Commendation Ribbon certificate to Major Rialto Philleo for meritorious achievement, December 1945-December 1946, dated 23 July 1947 (lightly folded horizontally); citation to Major Rialto Philleo as Chief, Personnel Services Section, San Antonio Air Material Area, with a War Department seal; an 8×10 photograph of Major Philleo receiving the award from an unidentified brigadier general.

Major Rialto “Phil” Philleo was born 1904 and was a graduate of the University of Colorado, where he played football. He became a high school teacher and successful basketball and football coach in Denver. He entered the Army Air Forces in 1942, transitioned to the US Air Force in 1947 and served through 1951, earning a Bronze Star and Commendation Ribbon during his service. Philleo was also a public relations director for the Adolph Coors Company. He died in 1994 and is buried in Denver.
