Spanish War Service Medal, numbered “12814”. Reribboned on a long ribbon and an original wrap brooch.

Issued to Private William H. Biggar, Jr., Company K, 1st Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He enlisted on 9 May 1898 and served through 26 October 1898. The regiment served at Chickamauga and Knoxville, but never left the United States. Biggar died 6 January 1935 and is buried in Philadelphia.
