Silver Star, “Edward J. Jadlowiec” (326th FA, 84th Inf Div)

Silver Star, slot brooch, hand-engraved “Edward J. Jadlowiec”.

Edward J. Jadlowiec enlisted in Pittsburgh in December 1942. Serving in the 326th Field Artillery, 84th Infantry Division, in Belgium. He received the Silver Star for gallantry in action on 13 January 1945, when he refused evacuation after being seriously wounded and continued to assist a forward observer until the fire mission was complete. Jadlowiec died in 2015 and is buried in Etna, Pennsylvania.
