Navy Good Conduct Medal, slot brooch, impressed “William/L./Stark/1944″. With two Navy dog tags to “William Lon Stark” (T-6/41) and an Aviation Machinist’s Mate first class rating (mothing in the red stripes).

William Lon Stark was born in 1924 in Port Angeles, Washington. He joined the Navy in 1941 and served in the Aleutian Islands, in maintenance functions with Patrol Bombing Squadron 43 and Patrol Wing 14 (PBY Catalinas). In 1944, he was at Naval Air Station Jacksonville in PBY Catalina operations. He remained in the Naval Reserve until 1969. Stark died in 2015 in Belleville, Washington.
