Douglass, 2nd New York Infantry: New York Spanish-American War Service Medal, numbered “4282” on the brooch (ribbon loose at the brooch); United Spanish War Veterans 38th National Encampment Delegate’s Badge, 1936; United Spanish War Veterans 9th Departmental Encampment Delegate’s Badge, Binghamton, 1911; United Spanish War Veterans 13th Annual Department Encampment Badge, Saratoga Springs, 1916; United Spanish War Veterans 26th Departmental Encampment Delegate’s Badge, Albany, 1938; United Spanish War Veterans 27th Departmental Encampment Delegate’s Badge, Schenectady, 1939; United Spanish War Veterans 36th Annual Department Encampment Delegate’s Badge, 1939; United Spanish War Veterans 28th Annual Department of Vermont Encampment Badge, 1940; Knights Templar Malta Jewel; plus two other Knights Templar badges. Douglass is on the roll of Company F, 2nd New York Volunteer Infantry, where he enlisted in May 1898 at Whitehall. He was mustered out with his company in October 1898. His unit did not leave the United States during the war. Born in 1869, Douglass died in December 1944. He is not on the roll for a federal Spanish War Service Medal.
